Speaking in a post-fight interview after his victory, Flick claimed: “People ask me: “How do you describe your style?”Well, if Khabib and Demian Maia had a baby, they would have Jimmy Flick. You got Khabib wrestling with Demian Maia Jiu-Jitsu. I use the Khabib wrestling to get it to the ground, I dominate them, and I use my Demian Maia jiu-jitsu to sub them up.”
It’s worth noting that Flick’s UFC contract recently expired, which he revealed after his fight at UFC 297. However, he expressed a strong desire to re-sign with the promotion and secure a rematch against Cody Durden, whom he previously lost to. So, despite his claims, we may not see him again in the UFC regardless.
