At 66kg, Kennedy Maciel capped off his run by submitting Gavin Corbe with a triangle choke in the final, avenging his earlier semifinal loss to Corbe by heel hook the round before. Diego “Pato” Oliveira took third place by walkover after Dominic Mejia was unable to continue due to injury.
The 77kg final saw Magomed Dzharbaev defeat PJ Barch by referee decision to claim gold, after both men advanced through tight semifinal wins over Mateusz Szczecinski and Jacob Bornemann. Szczecinski picked up third place, edging Bornemann in a narrow decision.
At 88kg, Pawel Jaworski put together a dominant run through the bracket, finishing three straight opponents by submission, including a heel hook over Gabriel Brod in the semifinal, before closing out the tournament with a decision win over Marlon Tajik in the final. Jozef Chen took third with a lopsided 13-0 decision over Brod.
The 99kg division came down to a rematch in the final, where Luke Griffith submitted Kaynan Duarte with a rear-naked choke after the two had already met in the semifinals, where Griffith won by decision. Daniel Schuardt took third place, submitting Achilles Rocha with a kneebar.
In the openweight division, Victor Hugo won the +99kg title with a shoulder lock submission over Josh Saunders in the final. Saunders had upset Felipe Pena by decision in the semifinals, while Mark Macqueen claimed third place after Pena was forced to withdraw from the third-place match with an injury.
On the women’s side, Jasmine Rocha won the 55kg division, submitting Anna Rodrigues by rear-naked choke in the final after also finishing Ana Mayordomo by armbar in the semifinals. Mayordomo took third with a submission win over Mayssa Bastos.
At 65kg, Ana Vieira claimed gold with a rear-naked choke finish over Sarah Galvao in the final, following a decision win over Morgan Black in the semifinals. Joslyn Molina rounded out the podium in third.
In the women’s +65kg final, Helena Crevar submitted Anabel Lopez by rear-naked choke to win the division, adding to an earlier semifinal submission win over Elizabeth Mitrovic. Paige Ivette took third place with an armbar finish over Mitrovic in the third-place match.
