Craig Jones is undeniably one of the worlds best leg lockers right now. This was seen from his SUG victory against Vinny Magalhaes. Magalhaes previously went on record saying “leg locks don’t work” and even managed to evade heelhook attacks from Gordon Ryan to go on to beat the Nogi legend.
However, against Jones it was a different story, his joints popped and snapped and it was a gruesome way to be defeated. This further cemented Jones’s reputation as a leg expert.
Today Jones showed how he entered and finished the submission. Starting from Reverse De La Riva, he inverted and spun under the near leg of Magalhaes. This got Jones into the 50/50 position on the bottom. Here, Magalhaes reacted by sprawling out to maintain the top position. However, in doing so he exposed his heel. This lead Jones to do another inversion to attack the heel which resulted in a horrible submission.
