Today grappling legend Dean Lister uploaded a video that was supposedly shot in Brazil in 2020. Lister captioned the video “Man tried to sexually assault the wrong girl! He is screaming in Portuguese “My arm, my arm!” She says “Shut up you son on a bitch!”
Lister later went on to add that she was most likely the minimum rank of blue belt. The video shows a woman on the floor controlling her opponent with an armbar whilst the man screams in agony. It is not known if he escapes or whether his arm breaks but the sounds he makes are a clear indicator of his pain. If you look closely, she may also be applying a wristlock at the same time.
This shows the importance and power of BJJ for self defense. Although physically smaller than the aggressor, the woman is able of dominating her opponent and preventing a potential sex attack. With this said, BJJ is the perfect martial art for those looking to defend themselves.
