BullPen Submission Series is hosting a quintet style event on the 7th November 2020. Today Chael Sonnen has offered to throw his hat into the ring. Whilst we’re not sure if Chael was referring to himself competing, he has certainly shown an interest in making a SUG team for the event.
Sonnen, who is co-owner of SUG alongside Flograppling is well respected in the world of grappling and known for his big persona. Whilst the line up hasn’t been announced for a SUG team, they have a lot of talent to choose from. Here is what their team may look like:
Keith Krikorian – this may be the first name on the teamsheet since he is already a well known 10th planet competitor.
William Tackett – still a very underated competitor due to his age, he has some big wins under his belt.
Kody Steele – Tackett’s teamate and extremely good wrestler. Has won Combat Jiu Jitsu titles.
Vinny Magalhães – Elite competitor best known for beating Gordon Ryan.
Mason Fowler – Beat Craig Jones twice in EBI overtime – would be very good in this format.
If Chael Sonnen does actually send this team, it would be hard to guess who would beat them. Whilst the tournament is already very competitive, a superfight team like this would certainly give the other teams a big challenge to overcome.
