In a clip uploaded to Instagram, a BJJ practitioner gets knocked out by an Imanari roll. During what looks like an in-house competition, one competitor does an Imanari roll. At the same time, his opponent crouches down to prevent the entry and his knee smacks his opponent in the head. Before the roll can even be completed, the one BJJ player has already been knocked out cold by the knee.
It should be noted that this was purely accidental, but it also serves as a reminder that BJJ can still be very dangerous as all combat sports have elements of physical risk involved. Watch the video below.
