Last month we interviewed Jeff Glover on his ‘Money on the Mat’ series which has grown in popularity since its inception. This month we’re looking at his friend’s newest creation, ‘Bill’$ Backyard’ which has its second competition coming up towards the end of the month. He has also been hosting arm-wrestling tournaments separately since Covid19 has changed up the way many grapplers do business.
The next Bill’$ Backyard is scheduled for November 28th, 2020 and is a no gi event. This has categories available for all belts, from white to black and is a grand-prix format similar to Money on the Mat. The idea is that each competitor puts $100 into the pot with a chance to win $1000 if they are undefeated. So far this format has proved popular as it’s probably the only competition format that offers lower belts the opportunity to win big money for their achievements.
