It’s been a busy period for John Danaher who last week promoted both Nicky Ryan and Ethan Crelinsten to black belt. Today saw another well-deserved promotion in the form of Oliver Taza.
The Canadian native was pictured next to Danaher holding his black belt whilst also carrying a knife given to him by Danaher which symbolizes the growth of his students. Like Crelinsten, Taza has a history of training with Firas Zahabi at his Montreal MMA gym Tristar which is where he originally made his name and also has an eye for leg locks. Ironically, Zahabi is also a Danaher black belt. Does this mean that Nicky Rodriguez is also next in line for a belt promotion?
