In a recent episode of Mike Bisping’s podcast ‘Believe you me’, The Count spoke highly about Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Firstly, he claimed it would be a beneficial tool for law enforcement to be around blue belt level which may lead to defusing situations with ease.
Secondly, he also mentioned telling his son Lucas to learn BJJ adding “If you’ve got black belt Jiu Jitsu you will never be intimidated by another man. That’s what Jiu Jitsu can give you, not to be an arsehole but to be comfortable and know if s*** hits the fan then I can handle this.”
As of 2020, Bisping is a brown belt in BJJ and has stated in the past that he wanted to truly earn his belt without being given it through taking short-cuts.
