Gilbert Burns calls out Nate Diaz in $400,000 BJJ superfight match

It’s no secret that Gilbert Burns has some of the best BJJ in the UFC and MMA in general. The Brazilian is a black belt in the art and regularly trains with the likes of Cyborg Abreu. Not only this, but his submission record speaks for itself with a number of armbars and rear naked chokes under his belt in the octogen as well as medals at no gi worlds and ADCC.

Today he decided to test his BJJ as he called out Nate Diaz on his Twitter page, offering him a match where they would both put up $200,000 and the winner takes home the $400,000 prize. Nate Diaz is something of a BJJ specialist himself and also has a number of submission victories under his belt as well as beating Ryan Hall in a grappling match in 2007.

Whilst it’s not yet known if Diaz would accept, it would make for a great spectacle. These are two of the best BJJ players in MMA right now and are both second degree black belts, so hopefully it can happen.
