It’s been a crazy year for Chad ‘Kodiak’ Fields who just had a fantastic weekend coming away from two competitions with two different gold medals. The first was earned at the Atlanta IBJJF Open where he won his weight category in the gi. This was followed up yesterday at the no-gi Pan-Ams, where he took home gold yet again, this time in the Absolute division.
It was just last week that Fields won the Masters no-gi F2W belt at super-heavyweight after defeating the veteran Tom DeBlass by decision. According to Fields, this was the biggest win of his career and helped to build his reputation and prove that older grapplers can still make massive strides. Not only this but it also adds to the dominant year that Fight Sports Miami has continued to yield under their leader, Cyborg Abreu.
