Perhaps once the most hated man in wrestling has now been sighted training BJJ with the legendary Rigan Machado, who seems to have a revolving door of Hollywood celebrities lining up to train with him.
Arquette controversially was awarded the WCW championship belt in the year 2000 at a time when the company had superstars such as Hulk Hogan, Kevin Nash, Scott Hall and Goldberg signed to their brand. This move made him extremely unpopular with wrestling fans since he had absolutely no skill or technique at all.
Fast forward to 2020 and the zany character Arquette is now almost 50 years old. During this time he has trained extremely hard and got into great shape. He now features on indy promotions and seems to genuinely love wrestling. Whilst he isn’t the best performer in the world, he certainly isn’t doing it for the money and seems to have found his true passion.
Perhaps in the next few years, we may see him in the masters 4 or masters 5 brackets of an IBJJF tournament. It seriously wouldn’t surprise me given his commitment to becoming a professional wrestler.
