It’s not the first time that a BJJ black belt has accused Gilbert Burns of using PED’s. A few years back, Garry Tonon also made the accusation and now AJ Agazarm has said the same.
Agazarm is no stranger to controversy and always speaks his mind, so when Gilbert Burns bragged about his neck length on Twitter, he responded by literally saying “Steroids”. This angered the Brazilian who replied “It’s on sight when I see you don’t run.” Interestingly, the pair met at a KASAI grappling match several years before, where Burns successfully defeated Agazarm.
It is common knowledge that steroid use is rife in the BJJ world with little testing, and even goes on in UFC. However, it should be noted that as of now, Gilbert Burns has not tested positive for steroids so at this point it is purely speculation.
