BJJ Black belt on the importance of nutrition whilst training

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt Jake O’Driscoll recently spoke about the importance of nutrition when training. He said “I’m allergic to a lot of things. Chicken, fish eggs, nuts, you’re main sources of protein. I’m probably in the best shape physically I’ve ever been in. I’m walking around at 75KG which I haven’t done in a long time, as I’m getting older.”

With this said, even with his allergies it still doesn’t stop him from getting in great shape. He put this down to his dietician Jordan Sullivan who has also worked with the likes of Israel Adesanya. In short, O’Driscoll was preaching the benefits of how a top dietician can improve your game and body. In the modern age of MMA and BJJ, it is massively important to try and add edges to your game to gain an advantage wherever possible.
