Only one day after Dillon Danis floated the idea he would like to face Jake Paul in a boxing match, Daniel Cormier has already shot down his dream of a knockout finish.
The UFC Veteran and well liked commentator Cormier suggested that Jake Paul would win the boxing match, if it were to take place. Many would think of Paul as a youtube personality or a celebrity influencer. However, he is no stranger to combat sports and already has 2 boxing wins over another youtuber as well as ex-NBA player Nate Robinson. Whilst the calibre of these opponents is significantly lower than Dillon Danis, Paul has trained boxing with his brother for a long time and also wrestled in high school.
Perhaps even more bizzarely Danis jibed “Watch that fat mouth before I shut it” towards Cormier alongside an image of his face being punched against a fence. Danis is 27 years old and has a 2-0 record in Bellator, winning both matches by submission.
Cormier on the other hand is 41, but has an incredible record of 22-3, losing only to Stipe Miocic and Jon Jones. In addition to this, Cormier has won 11 of those matches by knockout and is significantly heavier than Danis.
