Best known for his singing and dancing, Cha Eun Woo is currently learning BJJ as a part of his role in upcoming romantic comedy movie ‘True Beauty’. The Astro member said it was ‘a good hobby to learn’ and seemed to be enjoying his newly acquired skills as he was photographed recently wearing a gi.
The movie is about a woman who falls in love with Cha Eun Woo but uses make up to mask her insecurities. Whatever this has to do with BJJ, we don’t really know. However, it’s quite cool and promising that the reach of BJJ has now infected South Korean romantic comedies. We recently interviewed one of the best South Korean BJJ practitioners Wanki Chae, who spoke highly about the growth of the martial art in his country.
