Last night may have been a big night for the UFC, but it was also another big night for the Mir family. Frank Mir’s daughter Isabella “Bella” Mir continued in her fathers footsteps with another professional win to add to her record.
The submission occured midway through the first round with Bella able to sink a rear naked choke under her opponents chin. Her opponent Alma Cespedes is seen handfighting valiantly and does not tap, although her body gives up and she is choked unconscious.
The bout ended with Mir’s first win by submission (the other being a unanimous decision). The young lady still has some way to go to beat her fathers submission record, despite still being only 17 years old. Frank Mir ended his career with 9 submission wins and a record of 19-13.
