John Danaher on the progression of Craig Jones – “The progress you have made in your submission attacks over the whole body is astounding”

The Aussie grappler is one of the newest members of the Danaher Death Squad and has gone from strength to strength since shocking the world during his 2017 ADCC debut. However, it there was one critique it would be that he was too focused on heel hooks. This isn’t a major criticism as he was pretty damn good at them. However, recently it seems that his game has evolved even further, mirroring the move away from heel hooks that we also saw with his team mate Gordon Ryan.

After recently using a rear naked choke for his latest SUG victory, Danaher remarked “What an amazing sequence! I get the privilege to watch you all train every day in the gym and see how hard you work on developing your skills – the progress you have made in integrating your submission attacks over the whole body is truly astounding – amazing to watch you do it flawlessly out on stage!! Well done Craig!”

With this said, you can’t get much of a bigger compliment than one of the worlds best coaches John Danaher praising the growth in your game.
