Kade Ruotolo is no stranger to having a scrap as he was crowned the 2020 Combat Jiu Jitsu Worlds champion after an impressive display. Whilst Combat Jiu Jitsu isn’t exactly MMA, it’s probably the closest thing in a BJJ setting. Not only this but he is also very well versed in wrestling and also has the winners mentality by training under Andre Galvao at ATOS HQ.
With this said, it will be interesting to see how his debut goes and which promotion he starts his career with. Another question is whether his brother Tye will chose the MMA path too or whether he will remain exclusive to BJJ. Regardless, it looks to be a crazy year for ATOS and MMA. With Andre Galvao already confirming his return and Kaynan Duarte stating his MMA intentions, it looks like a new era for the West coast gym.
