Several years back, Jinri Park had a comfortable life as an FHM model and had millions of fans over in Asia. It’s the life that many would dream of and she seemed happy enough. Then she fell in love, moved to Australia with her partner and swapped it all to become a waitress and train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
To some people, this may seem bizarre – but this is Jinri’s response “All those people that are saying it’s karma that I’m a waitress now, I’m pretty sure there’s nothing wrong with having that job…I’m so happy now more than when I was in showbiz. I have a fun job, a great loving husband and a goal for my future!”
Her goals may include world domination within the competitive BJJ circuit too. So far she has won gold at the IBJJF Tokyo Open in 2018 and the Masters 1 Asian Open too. She currently cross-trains at various places but is mostly under ATOS and has even trained at the HQ with Andre Galvao. For those wanting to understand the benefits of BJJ, this is it. If you can do something you truly love and enjoy then it doesn’t matter about money and Jinri is a great example of that.
