Today saw Brazilian icon Felipe Pena promote one of his main competitors to black belt. Joao Cizeski was awarded the faixa preta after training after competing and training regularly for a couple of years at brown belt. Cizeski was delighted at the promotion and said “Black belt! Today I had the privilege of being a black belt graduate by a guy I admire a lot! Another stage that begins, more motivated than ever!”
Pena added, “Another Golden Team athlete living for Jiu Jitsu, happy to be part of it! Good luck in this new stage of your life and may God continue to bless you always!” It seems that whilst a lot of the world is stuck in Coronavirus lockdown, life rolls on in Brazil.
