BJJ brown belt spars wrestler with 100lbs on him – what happened?

This footage was filmed at Gracie Allegiance Honolulu in Hawaii. The roll took place between a brown belt and a much heavier white belt wrestler who had at least 100lbs on him. Converted into kilograms, that means he weighed over 45KG more which as well all know in grappling is a significant advantage in terms of strength and weight.

However, the brown belt handled his opponent quite easily in the end and managed a few armlock submissions in the process. Unsurprisingly, the large wrestler looked more comfortable in the top positions but struggled when on the bottom. Also, we should mention that this roll took place in the gi. Obviously, the brown belt could use this to his advantage whereas wrestlers are much more comfortable outside of the gi. Watch the video below for proof that BJJ can defeat size with technique.
