Marcus Buchecha is wasting no time in trying to speed up his MMA debut over at ONE in Singapore. The Brazilian World Champion has won practically everything there is to win in BJJ, so his move to MMA was a logical one. Like in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Buchecha is set to fight in the heavyweight division.
Back in December, he was set to face the Senegalese powerhouse Oumar Kane but the bout never materialized. However, he now has a match against the Korean Ji Won Kang which is penciled in for April 7th. Kang has a pro-MMA record of 4-0 and won on his ONE debut by TKO. This one will be an interesting spectacle, even though Kang is undefeated – Buchecha is still the favorite due to his superior grappling skills and aggressive takedown game.
