Fight 2 Win 167 took place in Austin Texas and saw the return of ‘The Big Man’, Victor Hugo. Being a black belt under the Ribeiro brothers and training regularly under Rafael Lovato Jr, it’s no surprise to see him starting to dominate Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. At F2W 167 he took on Tim Spriggs.
In this nogi, main event, Victor Hugo managed to secure victor with just one minute left. After an exchange of grip-fighting, he eventually managed to get a belly down heel hook and apply the finish. Not taking any chances, the experienced Spriggs was quick to tap as the control was very tight. In fairness to Spriggs, any man that can nearly go the distance with Victor Hugo deserves respect. There are now some fans wanting a Victor Hugo vs Gordon Ryan match which would actually make sense and provide an exciting affair.
