The full Polaris Squads teams have been announced, in a clash that will see the UK and Ireland face off against USA. This is a no-gi event, which saw the UK and Irish team previously beat the European team 1-0, after a submission from Tom Halpin. However, in the gi version, team Europe dominated, winning 9-0 with the likes of Tommy Langaker putting on a clinic.
One thing is for sure after watching both events, is that it was a fantastic, exciting display of grappling on both nights. With this said, here’s the lineups of both teams – and what a talented bunch of grapplers it really is.

With these lineups announced, it’s sure to be a real cracker with ADCC Champions, veterans and up and comers. The rules of Polaris Squads are typically a 6 minute, submission-only match between two team members. If no one is submitted within the time limit, then both are eliminated, otherwise, it’s winner stays on. There are two halves during the event and the team with the most subs wins. This event will air on June 17th and is available to watch on UFC Fightpass.
