Today saw MMA fighter Erin Blanchfield promoted to black belt by the legendary Karel Pravec. Since beginning her training, Blanchfield has trained at Pravec’s gym and also spends time training at the Renzo Gracie Academy in New York too.
Since starting MMA fighting back in 2018, she has gone on to achieve a record of 6-1 in promotions such as Invicta. One of these victories came by an Americana where Blanchfield proved her Brazilian Jiu Jitsu skills. This led to her getting a UFC contract in 2021. Not only this, but she has also won an EBI competition that pits BJJ grapplers against some of the best in the world.
Unlike most dramatic BJJ black belt speeches, Blanchfield was relatively calm and simply captioned her Instagram post by saying “BJJ black belt”
