It’s no secret that Rigan Machado trains with a host of Hollywood elites at his Beverley Hills BJJ gym. It turns out that Mel Gibson also looks to train with him as he was seen posing wearing a Team Machado rash guard, whilst pretending to choke out his friend.
Other than a personal hobby, there may be a practical reason for his training sessions too. In 2020, he played the role of a spy in the movie Fatman, where the trailer clearly shows sweeps and armbars being performed during one of the fight scenes.
Therefore, it’s possible that Gibson trained BJJ during this period which was in line with the choreography of the movie. Regardless, Gibson is known as being one of Hollywood’s most outspoken celebrities, so now it seems that he can back up his talk with fighting skills too.
