Whilst it’s undebatable at this point that Gordon Ryan is the greatest ever nogi specialist, it’s fair to say that fans are typically more divided when it comes to his takes on other areas of life. This week saw Ryan get into an argument with many of his Instagram followers based on his opinions of suicide, particularly when it was done by men. In a string of posts, he even went as far to say that it was “weak and f*****g pathetic”
During his posts, he also got into it with fellow ADCC winner Ffion Davies, who made a post of her own – claiming for men to “express your emotions, and don’t buy into toxic masculinity”
As ever with Gordon Ryan, his comments have appeared to be incredibly divisive – with some agreeing with him that US society had gone soft, whilst others called on his comments and disagreed with his opinions.
It seems as though this storm isn’t quite over just yet and knowing Gordon Ryan, it won’t be the last time that his opinions create debate either.
