Craig Jones Offers “Refund Discount” to Anyone Who Ditches Gordon Ryan’s Hungarian Camp for Tulum

Craig Jones has never needed much of an excuse to get under Gordon Ryan‘s skin, and this week he found a fresh one: Ryan’s training camp in Budapest.

In a video posted to social media, Jones took aim at the Hungarian camp with his usual mix of profanity and grinning sarcasm, telling fans not to be fooled by the discounted price tag. According to Jones, the camp is cheap for the simple reason that nobody wants to go.

“Guys, you’re hearing about Budapest, maybe you’re an idiot and thinking, oh, I’ll go, it’s discounted because nobody wants to f*cking go to the camp,” Jones said. “Forget about that.”

He then pivoted to the hard sell for his own venture, teasing a December camp at Chichen Itza with B-Team affiliate Craig Jones and company. His pitch leaned heavily on the weather angle, painting Budapest as a frozen, miserable alternative to a beach in Mexico.

“America’s going to be cold, miserable. F*cking Budapest is very cold, miserable right now. Do not do it,” he said.

Jones didn’t stop at the weather. He also called out what he described as paid promotion for the Hungarian camp, claiming Instagram pages were being compensated to push it, and that even FloGrappling had been asked to share the posts.

“I know they’re paying Instagram pages, they’re going, oh, you can have a free ticket,” Jones said. “They even said, FloGrappling, please share our posts for the king. Forget about it.”

The jab fits a familiar pattern for Jones, whose Instagram comment section has become something of a running bit at Ryan’s expense over the past several weeks. Fans in the comments have been egging him on, with one asking “what’s the opposite of FOMO?” only for Jones to answer his own question: discounts for anyone who requests a refund.

That bit, it turns out, wasn’t just a throwaway line. Jones is now extending the same logic to Budapest directly. His offer: if you’ve already signed up for Gordon Ryan’s Hungarian camp and want out, request your refund, then book Tulum instead, and Jones says he’ll knock money off the price as a reward for switching sides.

Whether that discount materializes into an actual promo code or stays a bit for the comment section remains to be seen, but it’s a classic Craig Jones move, turning a competitor’s event into free marketing for his own by making the mockery part of the pitch.
