The 2026 edition of Finishers: Zack Edwards Memorial took place on July 19, delivering another night of elite grappling and exciting submission finishes. Regardless of whether the matches were contested under CJI or EBI rules, almost every bout ended inside the distance, giving fans plenty of memorable moments.
Among the standout performances, Willow Crawford produced the submission of the night. After relentlessly attacking her opponent’s legs throughout the match, she eventually secured the rare Lachy Lock, a finish that is still seldom seen in competition. Her victory closed out the final non-title contest before the championship bouts.
In the co-main event, Alex Garipay challenged Laura Kent for the women’s welterweight title. Kent took an early lead by winning the opening round, but Garipay steadily worked her way back into the match. In the final round, she capitalized on a slick armbar entry and secured the submission with just under two minutes remaining to claim the championship.
The main event saw Efrain Garcia make the first defense of the flyweight title he captured at the previous Finishers event. Standing opposite him was Sameet Rizwan, who prevented Garcia from finding another successful title defense. After three closely contested rounds without a submission, Rizwan earned a unanimous decision victory to capture the flyweight belt.
