Last week, we did a piece on the release of the upcoming movie, Jiu Jitsu which features Nicholas Cage. Today, IGN released the official trailer and it looks as bad as it sounds.
Sadly, this is commonplace when Nicholas Cage is involved who has become something of a meme in recent times.
Anyway, onto the trailer. Firstly, it doesn’t feature any signs of Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, nor any Japanese Jiu Jitsu for that instance. Most of the fight scenes seem to involve spinning kicks and sword fights. In brief, typical action sequences you’d find in a cheesy 90’s movie. As said, this is commonplace with Nicholas Cage.
Away from the BJJ aspect, the film looks pretty bad overall. The plot follows an alien who comes to earth looking to fight the best human fighters. If he is challenged well, he leaves. Otherwise, he kills everyone on the planet. Not only does it look like a bad adaptation of the Predator series, but it also looks badly done with the villain looking similar to a corny power rangers villain.
If you were thinking of watching this, even for a laugh maybe it’s worth a miss.
