In a news story broken by ABQJournal, it claims that Rafael Barata Freitas has been jailed due to being accused by a woman of drugging and raping her. It should be noted that right now, these are just accusations and Freitas has not been sent to prison. Remember, there is a difference between jail and prison – as there is a difference between being accused and guilty of a crime.
According to ABQJournal, the accusations were from a client of Freitas who claimed the incident took place on November 7th at her house. Apparently, she had a glass of orange juice from Freitas which resulted in her feeling sleepy afterward. The woman in question had CCTV installed in her home and it is alleged by a detective that Freitas possibly dropped something into the drink and his wrist made a flicking motion.
After this, he can be seen performing a sex act on the woman who later texted him about being naked who replied “Yeah, you were fine don’t feel this way at all you’re good.” She woke up 50 minutes after he had left her residence.
As of right now, there is no set date for the trial of Freitas, and we must stress that we do not know all of the evidence right now, or whether it will lead to a conviction or not. However, if there is a conviction then the submission name ‘Baratoplata’ will be tarnished forever and may need re-naming at some point.
