Competitor hits flying Armbar in 9 seconds during brown belt competition

This has to be one of the quickest submissions you will see this year. At the weekend, brown belt competitor Clay Mayfield hit a flying armbar on his opponent in just 9 seconds. The incident happened during a Nogi match at the St Louis American Grappling Federation (AGF) competition.

As Mayfield put it himself, “9 Second flying Armbar to win the Brown Belt Open-Weight finals in St. Louis this weekend ⁣
Respect to my opponent for jumping down an age-group to compete”
.
This happened after a brief standing exchange which lead to his opponent sitting down into guard. From there Mayfield then jumped a flying armbar which ended the match immediately. In fairness, his opponent seemed to take it well with a smile on his face, possibly even admiring the execution of the move.
