For those wondering, Bellator fighter and BJJ black belt Dillon Danis is from Armenian heritage although he was born and raised in the USA. He has briefly nodded towards this at times during the past with shoutouts to Armenian fighters and has been pictured with the Armenian flag.
It isn’t known which side of his family is Armenian as his father isn’t in the spotlight, whereas he often mentions his relationship with his mom. In recent times, Armenia has had rising tensions with Azerbaijan and Turkey due to military conflict on the border of Armenia.
This week saw Danis put up a picture of the Armenian flag on his twitter account to show solidarity with the country.
