Is this the most expensive BJJ gi ever? As guessed, it’s a Shoyoroll gi…

For some, BJJ gi’s are less of a practical uniform and more of a fashion piece. In short, the gi can be used to show wealth and status as opposed to the idea that you train Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. With this in mind, there are a number of high end companies out there who tailor to this need. You may have heard of these brands, such as Lucky 7, CTRL, Origin, RCVA and Hyperfly.

However, perhaps the most known luxury gi brand of them all is Shoyoroll. It’s not uncommon for Shoyoroll gi’s to retail at well over $200 which seems crazy when the average gi is well under $50.
Today, we looked for the most expensive gi on eBay. To meet the criteria, it had to be in the sold section. For instance, anyone could potentially put up a gi for $10,000 on eBay, it doesn’t necessarily mean that it will sell. If you remember the mania surrounding Beanie Babies then you will understand this concept all too well.

Anyway, the winner was a blue Shoyoroll collaboration RVCA gi. This particular gi was listed on eBay as ‘new without tags’ and sold for $630. Not only this but if you wanted it shipped internationally, it would cost a further $91.15 for shipping.

As seen, it was made by Shoyoroll alongside RVCA. The designers were PM Tenore and Bear Quitugua. For those wondering, PM Tenore is the brains behind RVCA, whilst Bear Quitugua is the founder of Shoyoroll. It also says the gi is 100% cotton and was created for the Mendes brothers.

So there you have it. If the buyer lived outside of the US, they could have purchased this gi for an eye-watering total of $691.15. At that price, you’d wonder if it actually ever gets worn or whether it’s put in a closet for a collection.

Looking for the most expensive gi on Amazon? We’ve found it. The Beast Fighting Gear gi is 100% cotton and has a pearl weave design with quadruple stitching for maximum protection. The catch? It costs $325.
