Holly Holm & Claressa Shields Seen Training BJJ As White Belts

The humble duo of Holly Holm & Claressa Shields have been sighted training BJJ with Roberto Alencar in Gracie Barra New Mexico.

Holm has a record of 14-5 in MMA and was also previously the first woman to defeat Ronda Rousey, winning the Bantamweight title in the UFC at the time. Shields has a 10-0 professional boxing record and is a 2 time olympic champion at the sport. Neither were afraid to put on the white belt and train in the gi.

Whilst Holm is certainly not a typical white belt, having showcased at least a reasonable level of grappling in the UFC, not too much is known about Claressa Shields ability on the ground.

Their professor pictured is Roberto Alencar. He achievements are equally as impressive as his students, being a 4 time no-gi world champion, having competed in the under 94kg weight category.
