In a recent video, Nicky Rodriguez confirmed that he’s moving to Puerto Rico to team up with the rest of the Death Squad. Although Gordon Ryan confirmed this weeks ago, up until now Rodriguez has stayed relatively quiet on the matter. For those wondering, Rodriguez is also of Puerto Rican heritage which also adds to the likelihood of his move.
Today he confirmed the move alongside Tom DeBlass. DeBlass admitted that he was surprised that Rodriguez took silver at the last ADCC due to knowing ‘nothing’ about Jiu Jitsu. DeBlass further claimed that rolling with Rodriguez was like a ‘literal hurricane’. He also added “I don’t see how this guy doesn’t take gold at the next ADCC”. It seems that Nicky Rod is as focused as ever and you can bet the Puerto Rico training sessions will be a spectacle to behold.
