It’s been a strong year for Sam Rajabi who ended it on a high, receiving his black belt from his professor, Romulo Barral. As a brown belt, Rajabi became the Worlds Masters 1 champion in both gi and no gi as well as being ranked number one by IBJJF in his division. To add to this, he is also a very accomplished Judoka who used to compete for his country, Iran.
The Iranian stated, “Black belt from the legendary @romulobarral that means I have to work harder. Thank you professor for being a true example of champion on and off the mat. Jiujitsu is like life, you upgrade yourself then everything gets more challenging also when the results comes out, you could be more happier or sad. You have to fight for the good results”
With this said, it’s fair to say that he will continue to compete and fight for medals at black belt next year.
