It’s been a minute since we last saw Jake Shields competing in BJJ but on February 12th he is set to face Diego Sanchez in a super fight match as part of the High Rollerz promotion. If you didn’t know, then you may have guessed that the promotion is based on BJJ and weed culture, hence the name…get it?
Anyway, the ruleset is a 10 minute bout that heads into overtime if no-one is submitted under the EBI format. That means no point, no gi’s and lots of action. The winner gets a special High Rollerz belt which looks visually awesome as well as a pound of weed. As Jake Shields is good friends with the Diaz brothers, it’s no secret that he enjoys a toke himself, so the prize alone is worth it as well as the glory in victory.
