WNO was a night shaded in controversy. However, if you’re here for the results and don’t care about the gossip side of things, then read on. As it happens, it was actually a good event and was filled with plenty of action and one match in particular had a very big shock.
Craig Jones defeats Ronaldo Junior by heel hook
Gordon Ryan defeats Roberto Jimenez by armbar
Nathiely de Jesus defeats Gabi Garcia by decision
Geo Martinez defeats Junny Ocasio by decision
Andrew Wiltse defeats Pj Barch by decision
Jessa Khan defeats Danielle Kelly by decision
Elder Cruz defeats Jacob Couch
Whilst you may have expected Gordon Ryan and Craig Jones to win, the shock of the night was Gabi Garcia losing to Nathiely de Jesus. Here, Garcia went for a leg lock and gave up her back in the process, but de Jesus could not finish. As it stands, Garcia has now lost twice to de Jesus which is nothing short of incredible.
Elsewhere, Gordon Ryan predicted an armbar before his match and got it. The sad thing about this is that Jimenez may have got hurt defending an earlier armbar from Ryan which showed great escaping skills…not many people are capable of that.
AOJ prodigy Jessa Khan beat Danielle Kelly on her black belt debut and dominated the match, getting Kelly’s back at one stage. Interestingly, Geo Martinez secured a takedown against Junny Ocasio, which isn’t typical of his style. An onlooking Eddie Bravo looked impressed. Andrew Wiltse took a close decision against PJ Barch and showed a strong passing game. Lastly, Honduran Elder Cruz also took the W against Jacob Couch.
