Today saw Brazilian Jiu Jitsu legend Draculino promote Jordan Vaisman to black belt. The promotion took place during a class at Draculino’s Gracie Barra Texas school. Here, Draculino described Vaisman as a ‘prodigy‘ and a ‘perfect example‘ This black belt was certainly due as well, as Vaisman won gold at the nogi Pan Ams last year, proving his elite status in the sport.
Speaking in Portuguese, Vaisman said “Today I conquered what I’ve dreamed, BLACK BELT. Not only in Jiu Jitsu but in life. Being a BLACK BELT is to spread your best energy to everyone around you. It is you looking with respect to anyone regardless of class, race and religion.”
After training most of his BJJ in Brazil whilst under Gracie Barra, Vaisman switched to the USA to train with Draculino in 2020. Since then, he continued his impressive medal haul so it’s no surprise to see the Brazilian promoted.
