Fans of Jujimufu will be no strangers to seeing the bodybuilder squaring up against his long-term friend and rival, Devon Larratt. Over the years, the two have collaborated in a number of videos based on Juji’s bodybuilding, or Larratt’s arm wrestling.
This week saw a different challenge though, as the pair faced off at the 2022 ADCC for a friendly competition match. Here, Jujimufu rocked a wrestlers singlet and looked the part, whereas Larratt was far more casual, wearing a t-shirt and shorts.
Both men were coached by grappling royalty, as Jujimufu had Gordon Ryan in his corner, whereas Larratt had Tom DeBlass. Despite Jujimufu looking the far stronger, it was Larratt who prevailed, using a combination of technique and old-man strength. This was a best-of-two match, and Larratt successfully took his opponent down and choked him twice.
Of course, it was all in good spirits and Larratt has actually trained BJJ for a while now, including wearing the gi. Whether Jujimufu will pick up training is unknown – but it’s cool to see more celebrities getting involved with Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Check the video below.
