Craig Jones Takes the Rivalry to a New Level by Sending Nude Portrait to Gordon Ryan’s Home

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu rivalry between Craig Jones and Gordon Ryan has never been short on trash talk, but Jones may have just delivered his most outrageous prank yet—literally.

Australian B-Team Jiu-Jitsu star Craig Jones has reportedly sent a framed nude self-portrait to the home of longtime rival Gordon Ryan, taking one of the sport’s most entertaining feuds into completely new territory.

Jones even posted footage of the UPS delivery to his own Instagram account before confirming in the comments that the package had indeed been delivered to Ryan’s residence.

When asked whether it was really Ryan’s house, Jones replied:

“YES THAT’S REALLY HIS HOUSE.”

The framed portrait appears to feature Jones posing shirtless in front of a mirror, with the image reportedly intended as a tongue-in-cheek gift for his former teammate turned rival.

Thanking the UPS Driver

In another humorous twist, Jones reportedly thanked the UPS driver for successfully completing the unusual delivery, with Takedown Nation jokingly referring to the courier as the “fearless UPS driver.”

The prank quickly gained traction across social media, with thousands of likes and comments from fans who have followed the years-long rivalry between two of submission grappling’s biggest names.

Jones even acknowledged that he may have crossed a line, commenting:

“Probably too far.”

Of course, many fans disagreed, with several replying that he hadn’t gone far enough.

One of BJJ’s Greatest Rivalries

The rivalry between Craig Jones and Gordon Ryan has become one of the defining storylines in modern no-gi grappling.

Once training partners under John Danaher at the legendary Danaher Death Squad, the pair have spent years exchanging verbal jabs online while building two of the sport’s biggest brands. Although they’ve never faced each other in an ADCC final or major superfight, their ongoing social media battles have become must-watch entertainment for grappling fans.

Jones has developed a reputation for blending elite competition with comedy, frequently using humor to promote events such as the Craig Jones Invitational (CJI) while poking fun at rivals—including Ryan.

Fans React

As expected, reactions were split between disbelief and laughter.

Many fans praised Jones’ commitment to the bit, calling it one of the funniest moments in recent BJJ social media history. Others questioned whether sending such a gift to a rival’s home crossed the line.
