This Saturday (October 24th) will see the Submission Series tournament which features some of the best sub-only grapplers from the UK scene. Hosted by The Grapple Club, it is free to watch and it will have two brackets of 4 competitors each and will use the round-robin format, so everyone faces everyone within their bracket. After this, the best from each bracket will face each other in the final. It is a no gi invite-only competition which is also exclusive to those under 80KG.
The competition is set up to create action and emphasize submissions, but points will also be deducted for pulling guard within the first 2 minutes and stalling will also be penalized. If it is a draw after the six minutes then it will go to the judges who will look at aggression and other qualities to see who the winner is.
