In a strange turn of events, Gabi Garcia calls out Gordon Ryan for a BJJ match. After her WNO loss against Nathiely de Jesus, the ADCC Champion called out Gordon Ryan. Interestingly, mixed-gender matches are fairly common for children, but from teens onwards they don’t really happen in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
Strangely, this one may actually go down – as Gordon Ryan has often craved for matches and is desperate to fight people of a similar weight. As it happens, Gabi Garcia is a similar weight to Gordon and is known for her incredible strength. So, if she is up for it then why not?
She said on Instagram,“This is why I’m number one in the world. I have no excuse when people challenge me, if Gordon Ryan challenged me, I’d accept the fight. This is my job. If you challenge, go get the fight.”
Gordon Ryan had previously commented ‘the money match’ hinting that it just may happen. In fairness to Garcia, she often gets a lot of trash talk for being bigger than her opponents, so fair play to her for stepping up on this one and walking the walk.
