Whilst most Brazilian Jiu Jitsu practitioners won’t of heard of the name Devon Larratt, he’s actually an elite-level arm wrestler who has competed professionally for years. Before this, Larratt had also served in the Canadian military where he reached the rank of master corporal and was even wounded in action in Afghanistan.
Now, it seems the strong man has turned to Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and has been updating fans of his journey on his social media accounts. In one photo, he wrote “Hard to look tough when u r a white belt.” It turns out that Larratt is also a big fan too, as he also attended the 2022 ADCC event.
As you can imagine, someone like Larratt training BJJ is the stuff of nightmares. It goes without saying that his grip strength would be off the charts due to his profession, as well as his successful mind which would help him learn quickly. Watch this space…
